Jess Araten is a guitarist, loop-pedal artist, songwriter, and budding producer from Philadelphia, PA.  She has been playing the guitar since she was 9 years old, and has been deeply passionate about music ever since.  17-year old Jess has already had much success as a guitarist, winning the Guitar Player Magazine Ronnie Montrose Rock the Nation Award, performing as a part of GRAMMY Week with the GRAMMY Foundation, and playing alongside artists of bands such as Aerosmith and Foreigner. Jess plays guitar for everyone, from hip-hop artists to indie-folk.  Guitar was and will always be Jess's first love and passion, and she continues to grow her career as a guitarist along with other musical pursuits.  

Jess is also a loop-pedal artist, songwriter, and producer.  When Jess is not playing with a band, you can often find her playing solo shows with her Boss looper, incorporating contemporary and classic sounds.  Jess's live performance is surprising, exciting, and interesting.  She is influenced by artists from all walks of life and styles of music, from Janis Joplin to Jeff Buckley to Marian Hill to Porches, and countless others. Currently, Jess is honing her unique sound, writing, and developing her skill as a producer.
